Wedding Season Yet Again
How is it April already? I feel like it was January yesterday but we are somehow nearing the end of April. The weather hasn't decided if it wants to be warm, rainy or snowy. I have absolutely loved the warmth and sunshine. Jupiter and I have been going on so many long walks around campus, to the dog park and to Starbucks. However, with warm weather comes wedding season. My boyfriend and I have attended a ridiculous amount of weddings in the past year but our first "summer" wedding was last weekend. The weather was sunny and 80n degrees. The reception was absolutely gorgeous. The colors were dark blue and gray and the chandeliers gave me cozy, fuzzy feeling. As my boyfriend and I have attended more and more weddings I have begun to notice what I like and dislike about various weddings. I love warm lights and potluck-style dinners. I love pastel colors but I also adore deep, elegant colors. I have yet to attend an outdoor wedding, but I think I want to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception.
In other news, Jupiter and I finally found the Ada dog park! I was taking her to the tennis courts to play but someone told me Ada actually has a dog park. It is located in a weird spot, past the high school track and soccer fields. You have to drive on a side street to get to it or you can walk through the soccer fields. It took me and Jupiter about half an hour to walk there from my apartment. Sadly, there were no other dogs at the park when we arrived. However, a few minutes later a sweet old couple came with their tiny chihuahua. They were Ada locals and have lived in Ada their entire lives. The couple told me a lot about their lives, including the fact that they got married when they were 18. I wish that was still normal. Then another old lady came over. She was one of the couples' friends and was well in her 80s. She had a chubby, little dachshund who was obsessed with the chihuahua. Finally, another older lady arrived and brought her little dog as well as her cat. She told me her cat hates other cats but loves playing with dogs! Jupiter was sad because she wasn't allowed to play with the small dogs but we will definitely head to the dog park again in hopes that there will be big dogs to play with her. If any of you guys have dogs on campus let me know in the comments! Jupiter always needs more friends and she adores other dogs and humans!
